Information we collect
Depending on how you use sheeplaunch, we collect:
- Account information, including your name, email address, profile image, optional X handle, sign-in provider, and authentication records.
- Content and activity, including products, launch details, images, votes, comments, reports, organization membership, points activity, and messages you send through customer support chat.
- Technical information, including session cookies, IP address, browser or device information, rate-limit records, and hashed network and user-agent signals used to prevent vote manipulation and abuse. One Dollar Stats also collects anonymous usage information such as page views, clicks, referrers, session length, device type, browser, operating system, and country.
- Purchase information, including checkout and payment identifiers, payment status, launch or homepage position, subscription and billing dates, submitted ad content, moderation status, and refund status. Dodo Payments collects billing and payment-method details directly; sheeplaunch does not store full card details.
How we use information
We use information to:
- create accounts, authenticate users, and provide the service;
- publish launches, count votes, rank products, and award points;
- process and reconcile premium launches, homepage ad subscriptions, moderation, cancellations, and refunds;
- detect fraud, enforce limits, moderate content, and secure users;
- respond to support, privacy, and legal requests; and
- maintain, troubleshoot, and improve service reliability.
We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising. Homepage sponsored placements are contextual and use a fixed position, not personal profiles or cross-site behavior.
What is public
Published launches are public. They can include the product and launch content, images, publisher name, profile image, optional X handle, ranking, vote count, and comments. Search engines and third parties may retain copies after content changes or is removed.
Approved homepage ads publicly show the submitted product title, tagline, cached logo, website link, and a Sponsored disclosure. Unapproved ad submissions remain private to the buyer and admins.
Draft products, private previews, account credentials, and dashboard information are not intentionally made public. Archiving a product does not erase an immutable snapshot of a launch that already ran.
How we share information
We share only what is needed with providers that operate the service: Cloudflare for hosting, media, email delivery, and Turnstile abuse prevention; Neon for database hosting; Google when you choose Google sign-in; One Dollar Stats for cookie-free usage analytics; Google Analytics for optional usage analytics; Crisp for optional customer support chat; and Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, for checkout, taxes, fraud checks, refunds, and payment support.
These providers process information under their own terms and may operate in other countries. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate safeguards.
Cookies and similar technology
sheeplaunch uses cookies and similar storage needed for sign-in, security, abuse prevention, and interface preferences. One Dollar Stats analytics loads without setting cookies. Google Analytics and Crisp customer support chat do not load unless you choose “Allow cookies.” Crisp uses crisp-client/* functionality cookies to restore a chat session and message history; by default, these cookies expire after six months and are renewed when the chatbox loads. Your choice is stored in your browser under sheeplaunch-cookie-consent-v2 and can be changed from the site-wide Cookie settings control. Rejecting optional cookies does not affect cookie-free analytics or essential account and security features. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies for sponsored placements.
Retention
We keep account and service data while your account is active and as needed to operate sheeplaunch. Hashed network and user-agent signals attached to votes are automatically cleared after 90 days. Public launch snapshots, support conversations, moderation records, payment records, and security logs may be retained longer where needed for service integrity, support, disputes, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal obligations.
When data is deleted, limited copies may remain temporarily in backups. We may retain de-identified information that no longer identifies you.
Your choices and rights
You can update profile and product information from your dashboard and delete your own comments where the service provides that control. To request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal data, email privacy@sheeplaunch.com. We may verify your identity and retain information when the law or a legitimate service need requires it.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object, restrict processing, withdraw consent, appeal a decision, or complain to a data-protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Security and children
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Please protect access to your email and Google account and contact us if you suspect unauthorized use.
sheeplaunch is not directed to children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a change is material.
