The best place to launch a startup is not automatically the directory with the largest audience. It is the place where people already look for products like yours and where your submission can explain the product honestly. This database contains 114 active submission paths for general launch platforms, SaaS and software directories, AI catalogs, developer communities, and review sites.

Use the list as a qualified starting point, not a promise of traffic or rankings. A relevant listing with a complete profile can support discovery, citations, and referral visits. A hundred rushed copies of the same description usually create little value.

How to use the database

1. Pick the audience that most closely matches your product: general startups, SaaS buyers, AI users, developers, or another specialist group.
2. Open the official submission page and check its current rules, pricing, review process, and link policy.
3. Start with five high-fit platforms. Rewrite the title, description, screenshots, and founder note for each audience.
4. Record the submission date, profile URL, approval status, referral visits, activated users, and useful feedback.
5. Expand only when the first batch produces evidence that the channel is worth maintaining.

How entries were verified

Candidate platforms were discovered through current public collections, including the CC0-licensed SaaS Directories List and the MIT-licensed Startup Launch List. Sheeplaunch then checked each included homepage and platform-owned submission path on August 12, 2026. Entries without a reachable site, a real product or startup submission route, or a relevant discovery audience were removed. We also removed obvious backlink networks, redirected products, and ordinary article-pitch pages.

“Verified” means the submission route was reachable at the review date. It does not mean Sheeplaunch endorses the platform, guarantees approval, or has tested a paid plan. Product Hunt, Show HN, and a few protected sites may block automated checks while remaining available in a normal browser.

Pricing is marked only when the submission page made the model reasonably clear. “Check site” is deliberate: fees, free tiers, and promotion packages change frequently. The database does not publish Domain Rating, traffic estimates, or dofollow claims because those numbers are third-party measurements that age quickly and can distract from audience fit.

Choose a launch sequence

For a broad software product, a practical first sequence is one major launch community, one specialist directory, one software comparison site, and one permanent public launch page. Developer tools can start with Show HN or Dev Hunt. Early products can consider BetaList. AI products have many specialist catalogs, but should choose a small set with visible editorial standards instead of submitting to every AI directory at once.

If your customers mainly use another language, prepare a native-language landing page and support material before sending traffic from a regional campaign. Many directories in this database accept English submissions and serve a global audience; that does not make an English-only product locally useful. Localize the product promise, examples, pricing context, privacy information, and onboarding—not only the directory description.
